Brian Kirungi is the Founder & Executive Chairman of Bounce Global Foundation, a global organization dedicated to empowering young people through sport, wellness, mentorship, and financial inclusion. He is a President Eisenhower Fellow, recognized internationally for excellence in leadership, innovation, and social impact.
A former basketball legend, Brian has shaped the landscape of Rwandan and Ugandan sport for more than two decades. He is the co-Founder and four-time Champion President of the Patriots Basketball Club, the powerhouse team that transformed the Rwandan Basketball League and elevated Rwanda onto the continental stage. Under his presidency, the Patriots became symbols of excellence, discipline, and the power of youth development.
Brian’s service to national development includes his role as a Board Member of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), where he contributed to Rwanda’s strategy for investment, innovation, and economic transformation. He also served as a Board Member of the Rwanda Ultimate Golf Course (RUGC), Rwanda’s premier golf resort, guiding its growth as a world-class sports and tourism asset.
An avid golfer and multisport leader, Brian is also the President of Lacrosse Rwanda, championing the expansion of one of the fastest-growing sports and creating new opportunities for youth athletic participation.
A seasoned corporate lawyer and senior executive, Brian’s career spans global institutions and major industries. He has held influential roles with the IFC/World Bank, Rwanda’s Ministry of Finance, Airtel, and IHS Towers, as lead on all Legal & Regulatory Affairs. His experience covers telecommunications infrastructure, finance, government affairs, regulatory strategy, and major cross-border transactions.
