The International Summer League (ISL) is a premier youth basketball championship that brings together talented young players from across Africa for a period of development, competition, and connection.
Hosted in Kigali, Rwanda, the International Summer League provides a platform for emerging athletes to showcase their skills, compete against top talent, and experience the excitement of continental basketball.
The program runs over one month, combining competitive games with workshops, coaches’ briefings, and development sessions designed to strengthen both players and the basketball ecosystem. ISL also promotes inclusiveness on and off the court, creating an environment where young athletes from different backgrounds can learn, collaborate, and grow together.
Each edition of the International Summer League is guided by a special theme or title designed to celebrate inclusivity, promote gender equality, and create opportunities for youth employment through sports events and activities.ISL celebrates the energy, creativity, and future of African basketball while creating opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills, leadership, and understanding of the game.
